Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Hosting systems create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may also support ordinary analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the reference, troubleshoot, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when a valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Visitors may ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data this reference keeps. Because we retain very little, we will check the contact mailbox and relevant server logs and remove information found where appropriate. Use the Contact page to make a request. Oregon state, county, and city public records are controlled by their custodians, and removal requests for those materials must go to that office. Oregon's broker-registration framework, ORS 646A.593, may also help identify a covered data broker's published opt-out method.
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the revised policy.
